The Tri-Valley Band Department

The Tri-Valley High School Band has grown into the premiere small school band in the State of Illinois. The bands currently enroll 205 students 5th grade thru 12th grade. Ensembles that perform in the Tri-Valley Band are the 5th grade Beginning Band, 6th Grade Band, The Middle School Band, the Middle School Jazz Band, the Tri-Valley High School Viking Marching Band, the Tri-Valley High School Gold and Blue Jazz Band, and the Tri-Valley High School Concert Band. The director of the Tri-Valley Band Department is Mr. Dan Marcotte, a 1988 Graduate of Western Illinois University and a 2001 graduate with a  M. M. Ed. degree from Illinois State University. Mr. Marcotte has received four Citations of Excellence from the National Band Directors Association and an Excellence in Education award from IEA Region 62. Mr. Marcotte has been at Tri-Valley since 1995.
